Other Projects

I thought I'd share with you some recent projects I have made. I've been busy with the girls and haven't had as much time to blog as I'd like. Plus there has to be time to craft.

First I want to share the girls birthday invite. I was so excited to see how they turned out. The wings open up so you can read the words.

The next are some of the presents I made for my husband for Father's Day. He got them today as I will be at a retreat tomorrow and we have church on Sunday. Plus A wanted to do a scavenger hunt for him to find them.

Here is a shadow box frame I made for our MOPS table leader and MOPS mentor.

Some of the ladies from Melissa Taylor's online bible studies were talking about scripture boxes. This is one I made for my MOPS table leader and our MOPS mentor.

Something else little I made for MOPS.

Hope you enjoy seeing my recent projects. I have a few more in the works right now. I'm hoping to get more picture up soon. Hope you all have a blessed day.

Clean Mud

Today was a day where I needed an activity to keep everyone busy. We've stuck in the house too many days with sick kids and I wanted to stay in just one more day to make sure we were better. I've been wanting to try the clean mud/indoor snow recipe from the sugar aunts website for awhile (http://www.sugaraunts.com/2013/02/mess-free-indoor-snow-sensory-play.html). It was a ton of fun and A had a blast.

I bought some plastic dinosaurs from the dollar store and some sand toys at the end of last season from Christmas Tree Shops.

She had a blast making all kinds of things in it

You can make it as soupy or solid as you want. Easy clean up too as it is just water, soap and toilet paper.

Play Dough Fun

So a friend of mine started a website with her sisters that has lots of fun kid's activities on it. One of these was homemade play dough. To see her original posy go here: http://www.sugaraunts.com/2013/01/home-made-play-doughand-fine-motor.html

We tried this yesterday and the girls had so much fun.
Here are the simple ingredients:
The only one that I bought special was the Cream of Tartar. I use this for most play doughs, clays that I make for the girls.
A wasn't too sure about the mixing part.

Here is what it looked like after mixing, before adding color and after adding color:

A, B, and C had so much fun playing with it. They made a ton of shapes and had fun with cookie cutters. The best part is that you can put it in zip lock bags and save it for another day. It was a definite hit on a cold and snowy day.

Cards I made

Here are some of the cards I made. I love making cards and appreciate all the help of the owner of Monkey Business here in Erie PA. She has taught me so much over the last nine months and I appreciate her friendship! I'm lucky to have a friend like her in our new town.
