Pignut Hickory

Sometimes we find really cool things in our backyard. While weeding the gardens to prepare for the planting of our tomato and pepper plants we found this tree:

So we decided to open it up and show ABC what was inside it:

A loves to call the shells of these seeds pig noses. We find the shells all the time, but this is the first time we saw what grows from it.

B likes these shells of the seeds because she feels they look like hearts.

It is always fun to see nature at its finest. It also amazes me that if God put this much detail into the inside of a seed just think how much more detail He puts into us. Hope you have a great day!
