Becoming A Coach

Becoming a coach has been one of the most special things in my life. I'm finally doing something for myself an feeling great. I cannot believe only a few sort months ago I was sitting here sleeping on the coach instead of working out. Now just a month later I cannot go without my afternoon workout. I find the energy in doing that workout and find that that energy carries over to every other part of my day.

So you are thinking about becoming a coach. First I want you to think about your why. Why did I join Team Beachbody? I loved myself but I hated the fact that I constantly had to tell my kids to wait for mommy as I couldn't keep up with them. I hated myself when they wanted to play games but I couldn't run for very long or hide in places where they couldn't see me because I was too big. I knew I needed to do something quick as my knees and lower back were hurting from carrying all the extra weight. So when a friend asked me if I wanted to join I jumped on board in here Challenge Group. In seven days I knew I wanted to be a coach and inspire others in this journey. I saw what a powerful tool Beachbody was and wanted to share it with others.

Another part of my reason why is the rate of obesity in children. According to the CDC 17% (or 12.5 million) of children ages 2-19 are obese. God tells us in the bible "Direct your children onto the right path, and when they are older, they will not leave it." Proverbs 22:6. I know this verse refers to training your child to love God, but what if it requires our discipline to other things too?  God's word tells us "Don't you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself,:" 1 Corinthians 6:19. What if we are supposed to be healthy and teach our kids to be healthy too. If I have a great body image my children will too. If I respect my temple they will too.

Lately I've been reflecting on our MOPS theme verse for the year. It is  "Don't you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself," Isaiah 43:19. I don't belong to myself. I want to be a good steward and I want to service others. For me there is no better way then to share my fitness journey with others and become a coach.

Do you want to join me in this journey? Id loved to have you on my team. Please feel out the Coach Information Form and I'll be in contact with you about your goals.
