Self Discipline

I can give you all the tools to lose the weight or tone up but you must have some self discipline to succeed. Self discipline is where you take what you learned and put it into action. Most aren't born with self discipline but have to develop it. What are some ways we can develop self discipline?


Probably for some of you when I say self discipline you think of regret. You think of all the times you started something but then didn't keep at it. All the times you started to lose weight and then you decided to cheat a little because you were doing well. Then that one cheat meal  led to more cheats and all of a sudden you weigh more than when you started.


To practice self discipline we must do things that we dislike. When the going gets tough we keep going. If we don't feel like working out today we still push our self to do it as we know it will help us reach our goal.
The one thing that most successful people have are clear goals. Do you have goals? Are they clearly defined? Have you written them down somewhere?

 To reach our goals we must visualize them as already being accomplished and have faith that we can reach them. When you believe in and trust yourself and have enough desire, self-discipline comes easily.

Are you ready to set some goals today? Are you ready to have a long term perspective and see your goals achieved? Are you ready to give up the short term gratification and become the person you want to be? Let's spend some time today trying to define our goals and then trying to find some steps we can take to make them happen.
